Crumbville Times:
Congratulations New Orleans Saints! You've won the Super Bowl a few seasons after you had the worst luck imaginable. Let's hope that this attention and great accomplishment can remind people that the aftermath from Katrina is still ongoing.
Read more here or here regarding New Orleans reaction to the victory. Read here about the current neighborhood impact of the hurricane four and a half years ago (note: this is an editorial), or watch this video.
It's about time NOLA had some good luck! I hope this speeds up recovery for a city that is still in need of many things just to get back to where it was before Katrina.
Now lets discuss the festivities. The game started with an interesting re-dux approach to a Jay track, including some intense lighting. I figured I'd put it up since we do art sh-t on here ;P Also, is Jay the first guy to hold up a Grammy he's won and a Super Bowl trophy in connection with both those events? Much like he's the first guy to use Euros as his money in videos, I think he likes trophies or titles (earned or not) and has financial versatility. If he's the prince of these things, kind of like Frank Sinatra who he compares himself to, then I hope he's found a worthy princess. His whole thing is almost a fairy tale.. I bought his first album on tape in 96' and I liked it for sure.. But I never thought I'd see him before the Super Bowl, or on Oprah for that matter.
I will juxtapose that video with an older clip of a native New Orleans man. There is entertainment (music, sports, heck even faster zombies) and there is real life. Sometimes we, the populace, seem to get their priorities confused.
- Nice quotes Mr. Carters (is that how you pluralize last names? Also, that's Lil' Wayne's real name too.. weird... that song seems a lot less random now.. I'm a little slow sometimes huh?)
Also, in regards to the second video I think he's making a GOOD POINT! Maybe a Super Bowl can remind us that there is much to be done in his hometown.
For sh-ts and giggles here's Peyton Manning's dad, in the 80's I think. He was a Saint. He wore number 8, which is a lucky lucky number. It wasn't enough luck yesterday though, unless he was secretly rooting for the Saints? Its more then possible since he used to be one.

p.s. Scroll below for the commercials... We had them during the game and still do, thanks Hulu. While watching the commercials make sure to check out the Vizio ad, us zombies have had intertron tv (netflix, blockbuster, pandora etc.) for a minute. Its pretty dope and in HD no less! Comcast on Demand has some dead serious competition! That said, Vizio TV's are not necessarily the best option, are certainly not the highest quality TV's, and definitely not the best ones for 2,200.00 bean$ which they are saying the internet Vizies will go for. Three Sony TV's at that price for example is better then their best, by a wide margin, let alone an LG or a Samsung. They do out-rank Sharp a little bit though, which is a surprise. Sharp is the best selling TV in Japan (60% of the market), but not here, I suspect that its mostly because their really good stuff isn't available here. I don't own a Sharp but I used to live near the same neighborhood as their HQ so I'm a bit biased.. Regardless, here's a zombie suggestion, wait for a box that handles all the internet stuff you want to come out, and invest in the best TV possible, a modem and a HD cord is all you need, forget the bells and whistles.
Also, speaking of Sharp...
Peace Nishitanabe! Word to Tenbimbo, the gutter ball diner we all loved, and my man who just got away from the bars without alcohol etc. etc. The zombies' have your back and fu-k the spaceship.
